FAMOUS SAM'S

Locally owned and operated since 1963.

The first store, known as "Sam's Tavern", opened in 1963 at the intersection of Swan and 29th street.  This small neighborhood bar became famous for serving overstuffed pastrami and ham sandwiches.  Along with a pool table, juke box, pinball machine and television, Sam's success and reputation grew.

In 1987, to reflect it's popularity, the name was changed to "Famous Sam's".

Today, we are proud to continue being a neighborhood sports bar serving overstuffed sandwiches and cold beer, with our pastrami & cheese sandwich still being our signature sandwich.
